Does anyone know why there is a condenser mounted on the oil sending unit on a 1956 Mercury 312? My guess it is to suppress radio interference. Also, what are the specifications for the condenser in the event I need to replace it? Could it be the same as the ignition condenser? Thank you in advance for your reply.
