My 56 fairlane/292 came with new front fender thunderbird emblems. Does a gasket go between the emblems and fenders? Emblems are still in packages but no hardware. Packages have been opened.

I've never seen a gasket for these, mine are held on by clips.

Mine had some weird clips that were very hard to come off. I chose not to use them after my repaint. I used some self threading pressed steel nuts I bought at Ace Hardware. There were no gaskets even back in 56.
