Ideally, the top gasket should match the top of the spacer.  For the bottom:
If the intake or spacer is divided, you want a divided gasket.
If the intake and spacer are 4-hole, you want a 4-hole gasket.
If the spacer is tapered, which is effectively open on the bottom and 4-hole on the top,you want an open gasket.

To get the match for the intake, it's usually easier to get a 4-hole gasket and cut to suit, if necessary.

This my be a dumb question but,I'm swapping out carb spacers and it comes with two gaskets. One has 4 holes that match the ported spacer that I'm putting in and the second gasket is the open style. Does the placement of the gaskets matter or should both gaskets match the spacer?
