Tom.  Contact Felix Natoli @ Natolibird@aol.com  for an original cast iron 'Bird thermostat housing.  He may have both used and N.O.S. depending on what you want.

IF you have use for a quality cast aluminum 'Bird thermostat housing with a Stainless Steel water pump bypass fitting, contact Frank Rice @ peglegrice@frontier.com   Frank's aluminum castings AND the subsequent machining work are excellent.  When painted, the housing will appear to be a faithful reproductions of the Ford originals to include the casting numbers and letters ECD 8594A in the correct font, size, and location.  IF you want to keep the lineage of the housing to yourself, you will need to remove the raised lettering 'REBOP' on the opposite side of the casting that Frank added to make it clearly his doing.

I've gotten two 'Bird housing from Frank for use with aftermarket y-block aluminum intake manifolds.  -Perfect fit-up with both.
