On my 56 292, I have the reproduced wire brackets.
I have installed all the wires, except the last one
which goes to the block in back next to a bracket that
has something to do with the throttle linkage. This
bracket is opposite the distributor. I think
that last bracket is secured to a bolt that also holds
that throttle linkage bracket.
I've looked thru all the pictures that many posted,
incuding those from Ted, but cannot determine which
bolt hole is used.
I spoke at length to Miker and we tried to figure out
which hole is correct, but I don't think his T-Bird has
that passenger bracket.
I just want to be sure I secure that last bracket correctly.
Any comments/suggestions appreciated
Jim

On that particular spark plug wire bracket, I do take the liberty in having it pointing upwards instead of down on many engines.  This simply facilitates keeping the bracket out of the way when installing the engine to the bellhousing and especially when the engine is being placed back in the vehicle without the tranny being bolted to the engine beforehand.  Here are a couple of pictures where the bracket is being installed in the correct downward position; the spark plug wires may not be in their correct slots on these engines.

Kahuna,  May I ask where you bought you wire loom from?
Ted, what year are the engines, and  on the top one, what intake is that?
Also, where did you get your plug wires from?
Best

The spark plugs wires on both engines are MSD Street Fire #5553.  These are a universal set and must be appropriately cut to length and then install the distributor cap wire end boots and terminals.

The gold engine (top) is a 292 C1AE block cast in March of 1961 with a Mummert 4V intake manifold.
The red engine is a 292 EDB block cast in April of 1959 and has a Blue Thunder 4V intake manifold.

The brackets & rubber separators came for Mac's, but many other vendors sell them as well
