I googled "midland hydrovac" and what I got looked pretty much like the OEM remote booster on my 55 bird. You bleed the master to the unit, mine had a bleed fitting just like a brake cylinder. Then we bled the brakes as usual, farthest away first. Didn't need to start the engine, I wouldn't. Better control for a slow push without the diaphragm.
I suppose if it's a dual unit and a dual master, it's be the same, just back half then front to the booster, then rear then front brakes.

I am adding a Hydrovac unit to my 56 Ford (Like a Midland), and would like to know if there is a specific procedure to bleed the brakes? Some one mentioned that the engine may have to be running, but wasn't sure. I thinking bleeding the Master Cylinder to the Hydrovac, then bleeding the rest of the system in the normal fashion would be OK Anyone here have any experience with these things? Thank you and sorry for all the questions Jim
