Dry Lakes is right on the money. Only other possibility is both headlights have burned out low beams, very unlikely. Check your headlight wiring also.

Check the floor foot dimmer and my car was completely restored too but near the end he cut corners and one was the headlight switch.

Thank you for the suggestion.  I will probably try the new switch.  Car was completely restored, but I don't know too much about the 50's Ford.  Always been a vette guy.  But now I am too old to get in and out of those buggers.

There is a simple way to use a jumper wire on the light switch to by pass the rheostat. They are always bright that way but most people never dim them anyway. Low beams could be the dimmer switch or a wiring issue. Somewhere I have the wiring diagram for the jumper but no idea where at the moment. I think it was in an article in the Early Bird sometime back and I made a copy of it if I can find it.

Not sure on your headlights but my interior light fix came from replacing the light switch. The rheostat was screwed up and replacing the switch fixed it. I bought it at my local parts supply hour in Costa Mesa Ca. And it took the stock push/pull knob.

I'm new to this forum, but have a question that is driving me crazy.  I have a 1956 Ford Victoria and everything electrical works on the car, EXCEPT I have no low beam headlights and no instrument lighting.  What should I check and do you have any suggestions?  Thank you.
