Hello All, I would appreciate any and all help you can give me. I am new to y blocks as my girlfriend recently inherited her dads 54 Capri. After having some questionable headwork done, he started to drive it home when it started shaking badly and stopped on the interstate, thinking it blew a head gasket as there was antifreeze in the oil. There was more in the oil pan as I quickly found out.(see pics) Part of the cam, a couple rods, piece of the crankshaft, bearings, pushrods, etc.So what are my options? I have heard that a 368 will bolt right in. Is that true for the other y blocks as well? i am having no luck finding a 317 block and crank so i figured i would try and find a 368 since there were more of them.( I heard) What parts from the 317 (if any) are interchangeable to other y blocks? Sorry for the long winded post, but I am definately sailing in uncharted waters here....Any and all questions you have I will try and answer.Thank you!!
