Morning folks

Does anyone have a source for 1/2" - 20 (unf) carriage bolts? I have searched the interweb with no luck so far
I need to replace the ones on a side mount spare wheel mount on a 56 f100.
Thanks

Try Fastenal or McMaster Carr. They seem to have just about everything.

Thanks for the suggestions but they only show 1/2" -13 .
I'm beginning to think Ford had them specially made to suit the wheel nuts.
Maybe I'll adapt a press in wheel stud or get some custom made. only need 3.

Go to the ford-trucks.com forum and see if numberdummy can locate them for you.  He's good at finding stuff like that.

The bumper blots for a early TBird were fine thread.  I'm not sure they were 1/2 though.  The TBird parts suppliers have kits, which may be too many for what you need..

Thanks guys for your help.
The bumper bolts seem to be 7/16.
Brodie55  Tie down high mount carrier part F seems to fit the bill so I e-mailed them requesting a retail outlet as they are wholesale only. They replied saying they do not manufacture them they buy them in from Whitesell  Corp. I looked up Whitesells website and they seem to deal with Ford  GM  Toyota  Chrysler etc . they are not likely to sell me 3 .
now trying a UK manufacturer for some one offs.
Have learnt they are referred  to as "short necked " carriage bolts.
Thanks again

Hi Charliemccraney

I've been a bit busy with the school run the last few days . I did start to register on the Ford trucks forum but decided to back out as I thought they wanted too much personal information.
I am grateful for the lead and may give it another try later when I am feeling less peppery.

 Thanks
stuey

Try obtaining a "sample" of 3 pieces from Whitesells.
