Thanks Meteor, unfortunately I live in the UK, it gets expensive posting bits about all over the world. I just want a cam that's close enough to stock. 
Yeah 57ranchero, I have been towing with this car for 12 years, it pulls the caravan no problem. I only pulled the engine because I was having radiator problems, too much pressure kept splitting the top tank of the rad, suspected a head gasket but in fact one of the heads was cracked. Thought I'd give the motor a refresh but found it was 80 thou overbored, badly scored cylinders which looks like a previous seizure and had just had new pistons donked in. Only half the valves were seating, the cam was worn out and had a crack in one cylinder, fortunately it was radial and not into the water jacket, it was at the head bolt side of the bore, looks like its had a wristpin escape in the past and badly damaged the cylinder wall. We have repaired the crack and sleeved the block back to standard.
