If you really wanted one you could buy a beat up shay reproduction '55 to get the front clip and make a '55 bird wagon.   that way you would not have to destroy valuable bird sheet metal.

If I'm not mistaken, Amos Minter has one he uses for a parts hauler. I pretty darn nice one,but a parts hauler non the less. (My memory isn't what it ought to be, could have been another builder).
I saw it on one of those spotlight type shows on velocity.
It was a VERY nicely done car!!

The guys who did that build are Bird experts.  They also have more than a few cars to play around with.
Pretty Kool in my opinion.

It is  interesting  and different to see but if  I had a Baby Bird  I wouldn't think of  doing that to it unless a had a spare Car to play with!

I saw a picture of one in the last couple weeks. On a thread of station wagon conversions (or sedan delivery's )? Shot from above, on the right rear quarter. Dark, maybe black. I don't recall the info. Made me smile. I had an 1800S Volvo when that ES wagon version came out. Out of my pay grade, but I still remember it.
