Has anyone used "Champion" aluminum rads before?  I pulled a bonehead move and wrecked my existing aluminum rad and it cannot be fixed!  I see online "Jam-N-Motorsports" & "Patriot" sell Champion rads for 55 /56 Fords, just wonder if anyone has had any experience with them? (Good or Bad) Thanks!

I used one when I did my engine swap. I haven't ran the engine yet but the quality was good and it bolted in no problem. You can also buy directly from Champion and can request one to be made in the USA. It costs a little more but at least it won't come from China.

Installed one in my 57 a few years ago. Fit great and no overheating issues here in Az.

I have had one for five years in my bird and have had no problems with it.

Lou, the T-Bird one does not look like the original but bolts right in. The joints are welded being aluminum. I paid $200 for mine and at the time one of the T-Bird shops had one that looked more original for around $500.

Put one in the wife's ranch wagon not too long ago. They do fit well, but the oil cooler fittings in the bottom tank are not at right angles to the tank. They are angled downward because the bottom tank is a different shape. This causes you to re-shape your tranny cooler lines. Not a really big deal, just be ready for it if you are running an automatic.
We also bought a matching billet Champion radiator cap. Looks really nice, but is a higher pressure cap than stock and caused our stock 56 heater control valve to leak under pressure.
