I have a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria - looking for Polyurethane front end bushings.  Does anybody know if they make them for a 1955 Crown Victoria?
    A company name and tele # sure would help.

Don't use polyurethane unless it is greasable.  Much of the time, that is not possible with stock suspension components.

Factory rubber bushings are able to flex, so they do not need grease.  A polyurethane bushing does not flex and rotates about an axis making it more like a bearing which means that it needs to stay lubricated.  That initial bit of lube you apply during assembly will not last and they will start squeaking and wear out pretty quickly.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they are being made by anyone. I briefly look when I rebuilt the front suspension on my 56 and came up empty.

I replaced everything except the ball joints. Including rebuilding the center link. I got a mix of NOS parts and aftermarket. Also I had my steering box rebuilt. I can't report on the improvement yet as I'm finishing up my engine swap but it feels alot better. As far as where to get them try to get Moog parts. They do not carry all the parts you will need. The rest you can get from PST, Carpenters,Macs,Kanter,etc. I will add that if you buy the lower control bushings from Moog make sure they are both the same. They sell a kit for our cars that is actually for a 60 Ford. On the 54-59 cars the lower bushings are both the same. The newer cars have two different bushings. So you will either have to buy 4 sets or get them individually. I have a copy of an article on how to rebuild the front suspension on these cars. If you want it pm me your info. It was a big help to me.
