I got nervous a few years ago when iron was high and it was all going to China. I bought 2 spare y blocks and some miscellaneous heads and parts. One of the things I got was a 312 block and crank that must have been pulled a long time ago. It has a stock bore with no ridge is a 57 and had the obligatory spun bearings on the first journal but the crank is clearly salvageable. I'm building the 59 292 with a truck crank for my hot rod and now a friend wants the 312 for a T'bird project he's building. I want to be fair and this is a really nice block with a crank that can be re worked. So help me out here guys. What's it worth these days?
Mike, still lovin his 57 t'bird after 53 years!
