Hi,
does any one know where I could get a dual carb intake manifold for my 54 Ford Victoria powered by it's original 239? I heard of an Almquist , but would consider any other brand or maybe a tri power.
I don't really want to go to another Y block because my car is a 31,000 mile original car.
Any suggestions or info appreciated,
thanks.

Your making a pretty obvious alteration and then it's not an original car anymore

Well, I understand where you're coming from. It's pretty easy to reverse that. But along with the manifold you're going to need a new dizzy, (I don't know that, but I'm pretty sure), and there's a gear difference from the 239 to the 272-312. The later manifolds are going to be a poor port match, etc. In a low mile, original car, you're probably better off leaving it stock, or pickling the motor and starting with a 272-292-312. Main thing, beware of the eBay sellers, " very rare 239 manifold", which are really just 272-292 poor designs.
