Hello , I have been following the Petronix post and I have a small question about the setup I have installed on my1955 Crown Vic with the 6 volt system . I have installed in my stock dizzy the 6 Volt Petronix module and I use the Petronix coil that is a match for the module . My question is I have the stock gap set on the plugs should the plug gap be larger than stock. The car seems to run fine but I was just wondering. Thanks for any reply

Use 0.035” or less for the spark plug gaps for carbureted engines. Fuel injection can use the larger gaps due to the leaner fuel mixtures but those increased gaps do increase the load on the ignition electrical system thus promoting an earlier break down of those systems not built to be robust enough to handle it.
