Its been a standard for increasing oil flow back for many years. Must work because its still widely used.

All my GMC 6 racing engines are Glyptal inside. Always with GE. I worked in the power utility business for over 40 year on electric motors up to 13.8 KV and applied properly is a great product and never peeled or chiped off.
