I'm looking for the measurement of a 1957 thunderbird E code air cleaner element. The one that I have is 17 5/8" OD , 15" ID, and top to bottom 2 3/4". I need one that is thinner like about 1" for my application. I'm told that the 57 Thunderbird E code air cleaner is thinner. Thanks Jay

Yes the T-bird "E" air cleaner element is lower, you can use a GMC truck element in place of the FoMoCo element. If you can't find the GMC element I have and unopened case of them ( 6 pieces) I would like to sell. $80.00 including shipping.
