Help me understand what I'm looking at.  I LIKE the height of the air filter element.  Is it oval in shape?  Is the filter base Masonite?  What are the dimensions of the air filter element?  Is there a manufacturer's number?  Is the top housing a commercial unit?  If so, who is the manufacturer?

the filter is a K&N, I don't remember the # it's my friends. the top is a old cal custom but we've seen a few new ones at the ford swap meets. I have one on my 2x4 setup with 2 2in tall napa gold 6013 filters, 14.645" x 7.944" oval. the base is cardboard but I'm making one out of 1/4" aluminum plate. I've got a top and bottom made out of 1/4" plastic but not a good idea if you have a fire! i'll get a couple of pics.

hi! I just checked the K&N site! they have the custom 66 series, 15" X 8 1/4" x 3" 0r 15" x 8 1/4" X 5". they are for single carb but you could adapt one with a homemade base!
