Hello... I am currently working on my Custom 1955 Ford Customline 2dr and wanting to purchase a interior kit form Mac's or LeBaron Bonney but I am running into problems. It seems that neither company has my car in their data base and doesn't know what interior kit/s will work or cross over from other Ford models. My Cusomline has the 70B trim but I am not concerned with the correct interior code being it is not original. I am just wanting to find a kit I can install myself. Does anyone know if the Customline, Crestline or Mainline or any other Ford production lines during the 50's use the same panels and such so I might be able to find a kit from one of the two companies? Thanks for the help? Roger Hello... I am currently working on my Custom 1955 Ford Customline 2dr and wanting to purchase a interior kit form Mac's or LeBaron Bonney but I am running into problems. You mat have to piece it together. If your not interested in originality then Mac's has 56 door panels for the 70b body style.

There is a place named Ron's Auto Upholstry in PA that specializes in 55-56 Fords in PA. He is the guy that originally started the company ABC Interiors (I think that was the name) who sold the company to LaBaron Bonney. He back in business selling interiors for 55 and 56's. You might want to give him a call with your questions

If you're asking about Larry's Thunderbird, they were fine. 10-12 years ago I bought a whole T bird interior from them. They did their own sewing, so I could mix the stock colors differently, etc. My car was a mild custom at that time. They did the 55 bird interior in light green, instead of dark, did a 57 seat (in leather) with the 55 colors. Did the carpet with the cut out for the gas pedal removed, I have a firewall mounted Lokar throttle pedal. All went right in, and has held up well. My only complaint is the carpet is an OEM reproduction. It tends to fade, just like the original did. They even did a full trunk carpet patterned on the rubber mat. I had an upholstery shop do the install, and they were surprised how well it went together. I could have done it myself, but time was a problem. They took 3 days to stretch and fit the seat. But they said that was the best way to do any seat on new foam.
If they do full size car interiors, and do their own sewing, I'd call and ask what they can do.

Might want to contact the Crown Victoria Association in Ohio re correct specs for unholstery. Another outfit is SMS Auto fabrics in Canby Oregon, although the material I got from them some years ago for my 57 Fairlane 500, which they stated was an "exact" reproduction..wasn't.
