Guys, thanks a lot.

Looks like the right side is getting no oil when hot what took it's tool on the rocker arm assembly. When the engine is cold it gets oil. This next weekend Nahim will install the oil pressure gauge, to see if the problem is on the lower part of the engine, like a pressure loss on a bearing. Also the oil and filter will be changed, as I suspect the filter is clogged.
As soon as I have some news I'll post them!!

I think valve lash is set to tight, reset lash when engine is hot.

I wish I could see the engine in person. I'm even thinking about getting into the car on the weekend and going to take a look.
I sent Nahim a oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges, and told him to install it a few months ago, when he was in the process of putting the car back on the road. Now that he got scared, I guess he will install the gauges pretty quick.

The first order of business would be to pull the valve covers and check the valve lash.  Also check that the topend is actually getting oil to the rockers.  I suspect you’re going to find some very loose rockers.  Installing an oil pressure gauge would then give a good idea of what’s happening in the bottom end of the engine.

Unfortunately video cameras don't do a good job of recording sound. The noise I'm hearing sounds like it is coming from the rocker arms with a lack of oil. I would install a mechanical oil pressure gauge and check oil pressure first..

Hy gang.

My friend Nahin owns a '67 Galaxie with a 292 (Brazilian car). He lives about 400 kms from me, and is having some trouble with his car.
He says the engine runs fine when cold, but has a strange noise he thinks come from the passenger side of the engine. After it gets hot, after some highway use, the engine gets rough, would die at idle, and will require burning the clutch to get to move like if it had a dirty carburetor, what is not the case. We know that, because he tested s second carburetor, and had the same result.
Today he sent me a video, and I think his engine is knocking, and bad. Maybe his oil pressure goes really down when hot, and that has already damaged the engine, that gets rough because it's getting really hot and that is causing some sort of vapor lock on the fuel pump, or maybe boiling the fuel inside the line itself.
I'll post a video he sent me, that shows the noise pretty well.
I would like a second third and fourth opinions before telling him his engine is kaput.
What do you guys think??
