I ame trying to cut some exp on the repower of my 48merk useing a 292y. have a new master cyl and plan to use it to release cluth. slave is older style ford slave.My question is do i remove the residual check,or do instal a heaveyr return spring. any help would be apretiated.

Been a long time, but IIRC, the residual valve has to go. There's also a slow release valve in most brake cylinders to allow you to "pump" up a low pedal. The time I used a brake master on the clutch, that prevented the clutch from engaging, especially double clutching a down shift. Ended up going with a clutch master. Never thought to try a heavier spring.
