My nephew hauled in a late 50's early 60's Ford truck, I thought he said f-600. It has a y block with ram horn exhaust manifolds, What are the cubic inch displacements common to these engines?

thanks, Mark

The LYB engines were common in the fire trucks. The 302 and 332 cubic inches would be the norm for those. I have seen F600’s with the 292 engine though so you’d have to look at the engine and see exactly which engine family it is. Looking at the exhaust manifolds would help in the identification in that the 292 would have the exhaust manifold bolts in a straight line whereas the LYB engines will have the end pairs of exhaust bolts staggered. I'm not familiar with the VIN numbers on the trucks but I'm thinking there may be some kind of engine ID code on that data plate if not part of the actual VIN.
