Has anyone ever been to Minden NE and the PIONEER VILLAGE? It's in south central Nebraska. I went there with my dad when he was still alive. Well worth a visit if your ever in the neighborhood.

Bobwanna, interstate 5 nor or so, exit rd 102, it's right there behind the Arco AM/PM at the dead end.
Quite interesting. Harvesters, planters, mills, different and unique machines. Think it's mostly pre-war. Rowen

Rowen, thanks for the post. I love old machinery and tractors. I have an old Ford 8N that I have no real need for it except to listen to it start and run occasionally. Just like the Y, flatties have their own unique sound. I did not know of this Museum in Woodland CA. Next trip up North I will have to visit it - Bob

I think most of us would be fine with about anything as long as it wasn't a small block scrubby. I like seeing different things from time to time myself.

Even bad day with SBC is better than good day in those Japanese and german junks. But I am on other continent than most of you, so my point of view might be a little bit different.

BTW. Love those old farm machines from day when there was still something to invent.

I remember seeing that Fordson Snowmmobile being operated on a tv show years ago.  It would go anywhere on snow or mud.  They even drove it across water since with the hollow tanks it would float.  Don't remember the show, some thing like History Channel. Neat engineering.

Those are cool. I love the old farm iron. I had a 1928 Farm all for several years. I bet that snowmobile was a little rough to ride on.

Cool old stuff. When my dad was a young man he converted a Model T engine to run on 2 cylinders. It was used to power a generator he set up to bring electric power to his grand parents farm. This was sometime in the early to mid 30's. I remember he said he bought the light bulbs from the Sears catalog. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some memories for me. -Dave
