If your talking about the short hose from the water pump to the intake I used 5/8 heater hose on mine.

Hey, didn't the very early Y blocks use 1/2" bypass tube? I thought I had removed one from a 239. Maybe my memory fails me though. 5/8" for just about all I've seen
