Hi Charlie,  These belong to a friend in my car club. I believe the carbs and manifold were purchased together at a swap meet and they've been rebuilt.  I can't really say why the M series differs from the others.

Larry, was there something about the '56  'M' series Holley 4000s that caused you to use them for the 2x4 set-up?  I've noticed that the vents on the fuel bowl cover are different than on some of the other '56 Holley 4000 series I've looked at.

Thanks!
