For Sale is a 1956 272 Y-Block and 4 speed tranny out of my 1956 F-250. It runs with no knocks or noises. The truck says it has about 55,000 miles on it and as far as the engine goes it might be correct. Please contact me by phone 518-322-1551.

Thanks,

John H.

Engines are heavy, so a location would be helpful re pick up or shipping. Given that the truck is 60 years old, the likelyhood that the engine has that low of mileage seems unlikely.  More info like the head casting #s might give a basically unattractive truck engine a bit of interest. And What's the asking ?

New York?
John.  Need a price and location.  If this is the original engine from the truck, then the engine code off of the VIN might help in identifying exactly which engine this is.  Based on the newer two barrel carburetor with an adapter, it would appear to have had some upgrades added to it over time.

Shouldn't this engine be yellow?
