I just paid $400.00 to offset grind a 292 crank (3.600 with 1.850 bearing) and repair the snout and key way (almost 6 months)

I will have to pay $175.00 after balancing for heat treat ( I hope not another 6 months)

Machine work pricing tends to be regional for a variety of reasons.  I’ll add that those shops that do a lot of shipping will a have a different pricing schedule versus those shops that do not.  One reason for not posting prices within a forum by machine shops is that they are not continually updated to reflect any actual increases in those prices as time goes on.  Here are a couple of recent posts that also talk about machine shop pricing.
