I am looking for the bracket that attaches to the block for a standard transmission car. I would assume it needs to be 55/56 model years, but I do wonder if 54 will work? This is the bracket that takes the two piece brass/bronze bushing so that the clutch release arm/bracket bolted to the frame will pivot on the block as well.
If I had one I would take a photo...
my zip is 26711

Lou, let me clarify. I am looking for the bracket that bolts to the BLOCK... I would imagine that would be Y block specific right?

I have one of those clutch pivot block mounts sitting loose.  If you’d like a picture, just let me know and I’ll take one and put it up on this thread.  If you don’t need a picture, just send me your shipping address and I’ll drop it in the mail.  My contact info is at www.eatonbalancing.com .

Ted, If it's not too much trouble would you throw up a photo here when you have the chance? I looked at my PDFs of the parts manuals and the numbers look to be the same but the dimensions and shape look to be different between the 54 and then the 55/56. I "think" I may have one on the way here from Cactus, just waiting to confirm that he will be able to ship it to me. I can let you know for sure. Thanks for your help.

Did you happen to see if the 6 cyl and the y block bracket are the same? I would hate to have to get that far in my engine swap and have to wait on such a simple part.

Looking at the Ford parts catalogue, it looks like the ’54 thru ’57 V8 block mounts for the clutch equalizing links are interchangeable.  The six cylinder engines calls for a different part number so it would be a matter of having the two side by side to see exactly what the differences are.
