Fellow Y-blocker Royce Brechler had a heart attack wednesday night, and had to have a stint inserted. Said he is doing well, should be released on Sunday. A prayer for him if you are so inclined. Joe-JDC

Thanks for the post and the update. They do miracle's today with heart problems. I really didn't expect Royce to show up on that list though. Smoke and prayers for him and the family. Chuck

Prayers out there on my end for Royce and a speedy recovery. That’s simply another wake up call for the rest of us reminding us how fragile and short life can be.

As most of you guys know Royce has my Ranchero and had just installed the Lincoln Y-Block and got the Supercharger working. I was going to go pick it up when Royce called from the I.C. U. and said we have put it off for a week or so. That Lincoln Y -Block has broken my heart twice and now it tried to get Royce!

Thanks everyone for the kind words and best wishes. I just got home from the hospital and I am suppose to be on light duty for 6 weeks..(wink wink). As Fred G Sanford would say, this was the big one! A 98% blockage of the main cardiac artery. The speed and skill of the ER and Cardiac doctors saved me from severe heart damage or death. My wife drove me to the ER and from the time they did the first EKG till I was in recovery was 66 min.. And that included a 30 min Ambulance ride to the Cardiac care unit 40 miles away.... I feel lucky and blessed with the good outcome I have... As of now I don't plan on altering my summer racing plans, but a couple projects will be back burnered.. My wife informed me she will be watching me like a hawk for any infractionsof the rules the Docs have laid down. Again thanks to everyone for the concerns and prayers.. I hope to see a lot of you at Norwalk
