Was going to get my Fordomatic rebuilt after it sat for 40+ years, but after surviving a severe case of "quote shock" from a tranny shop, I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone might have a decent one for sale? I live in the Seattle area.

By chance, did you try Renton Transmission? I think theyre close to the engine shop Marc sent you to. I used them for years when we had a fleet to service. Marc may know something about them if he chimes in.

The later 56 fordomatics were also water cooled  Carl
