Sorry Dennis. I was hoping you would have at least a small showing. I've got too much going on right now but really hope to do Columbus again this year. Making another trek to the salt flats in August. Congrats on the new time too! Chuck

Well, our 1st annual keystone y block shootout was a bust. I was the only one there. I did have a personal best 16.88 @ 81.19 Maybe next year we can have the 2nd edition of the 1st annual keystone y block shootout.

The FE's weren't jealous - just their preference to devote the day to FE's. Beaver Bob thought we would fit nicely into his Annual York 30 Nostalgia Nationals. It also looks like 3-days of racing, as that Friday, July 10th is their "Street Racing" night. I'm trying to get more information for all three days (classes, purses, etc), as well as how early we can roll in. Beaver Bob said we would fit right into his Junior Stocks that are run on both Saturday and Sunday. When I get the information, I'll have it posted here and in my Y-Block Report for the Jan-Feb issue. Bob Martin, Cincinnati

Interesting the FE's don't want the Y's there? Isn't the FE the Y's younger brother? Y style blocks, both have side oilers, shaft mounted rockers, solid lifter engines. I made it to the FE reunion last year and Charlie was there promoting his Y block book along with his Dick Brannan book, Dick Brannan was there along with Herbert Platt, even got a Y block Banner signed they were selling there at the FE reunion.

I'm going to try to make it to the race with my 56. I kind of like having different makes there, it nice to see other cars and what they have done to them. Being a all FORD guy sometime you don't get to see what going happening on the DARK SIDE !!!

Looking forward to this race being as Beaver Springs is pretty close to home. It'll be interesting how may "Y" powered cars would actually show up to run, last time I was at the Beaver for the Jalopy Drags I think I saw two or maybe three Y powered vehicles and Dennis was the only one actually racing.

I took that as a joke. You mean the FE FORD guys are discriminating against the Y-Blocks? WTF is that all about? Chuck

I don't see why it would matter if we were there or not unless they think we're given a little more privilege with our own race, heck they could have their own race if that's what's bothering them, it wouldn't hurt my feelings and again maybe their jealous.
