OH YEH!!!!   BigGrin   LOL  Can't wait to get everything together and run this on the dyno!  Unfortunately though I will have to wait until at least April before I can get the car back on the road! Sad

Rob.  Looking good.  You have to be chomping at the bit right now waiting to get this on the dyno and then back in the car for a test drive.

Your not kidding Ted!!!!   LOL   been a bit of a delay as my machinist had to make some modifications to his dyno (laser cut an engine plate) to fit the Y-Block. The machine shop (Port Perry Engine and Machine) has been primarily a scub performance shop, but the owner (Rob) has built a few Fords and was excited about building my Y-Block! He said it is nice to build something other than the cookie cutter, no brainer motors!  LOL

I went with his shop as he was very receptive to any literature / advice from John Mummert and yourself. Also he did not have an issue with me providing all the Mummert parts. Now I am just keeping my fingers crossed that all has gone together well and that we can come close to (or surpass) one HP per cubic inch!!!  Smile  Wish me luck!!!  LOL

These #'s are with the stock manifolds, NON-ported "G" heads and little 570 CFM Holley!  Headers should bring this motor over 300 HP! Smile

Rob, great looking engine and great looking numbers. A couple questions if you don't mind. Q) What camshaft are you using? Q) Are the exhaust manifolds the 1957 and up, or the earlier ones? I can see why you would be pleased with what you have there. Congratulations. -Dave.

Dave,

I used a Mummert Y-284-S cam and all other parts from John (GREAT stuff!!). The manifolds are my stock 56 manifolds. I used them, as I did not want to drill my headers for the sensors. The nice thing is that I know I will be over 300 HP once I put my headers on! Smile Other nice thing is that my engine builder said that another 30 / 40 HP is available to this motor with an MSD distributor and upgrading on my carb.  Possible future upgrades if my wallet allows!!!  LOL
