Depends if it is a 4dr sedan or HT.

Unfortunately, a 61- 4 Dr. sedan with some rust in it isn't in much demand. Now, a Starliner H.T. in nice shape would be a different matter.. Without seeing photos it's difficult, but as a guess, maybe $ 4000 to $7000 at best.

Hard to say! I have a 62 Galaxie 500XL which has never had a patch in its life, nice interior with buckets and console and i am asking about half what its worth compared to others in Hemmings motor news and on the net and I haven't had any bites in 3 years, I definately wouldnt make it as a salesman.
Location is key! Hemmings post the results of 2 auctions in each issue and in the same issue they had a 62 T bird which sold at the owls head auction in Maine for 5,500.00 and a similar T Bird sold at auction in Monterey California for 65,000.00. I am in the wrong place.

A few photos of the car inside and out would be a good starting point. Remember the saying "a picture is worth a 1000 words"?

Right. Will try-- but I'm on one coast and son and car are on the other. I'll see if he can send me some photos.

Hello all,
Its been several years since I've been on the site. Many of you helped me get my (then) teenage son's 1961 Galaxie ready for a circumnavigation of the entire US. Special thanks to Ted Eaton who sold us a manifold so we could put dual exhausts and a 4bbl on. Well, my son drove the car across the US for a second time but now is at a point in his life where it makes sense for him to try to sell the car. I have NO idea what it is worth. We just want some idea of a fair price. The car has never been restored so there are some dings and rust around the rear wheel arches/fenders. We had the original transmission completely rebuilt by a shop that knew what they were doing. The heads have been gone over, new valves, springs, rockers and push rods from Mummert. HEI  ignition from Dave's HEI. We had a local spring shop install new leaf springs in the rear but never got around to the coils in front. This is a four door. Can anyone suggest a ballpark figure? I know this isn't much info to go on but neither of us has a better idea how to start to arrive at a price. Thanks.
