Neat little "factory" bumper fairing. Aero was just starting to mean something. Mostly because of the WWII returning aviation mechanics. A boost to the sport not unlike the late 40's hot rod movement. Nice picture. Any idea who any of the people are? Chuck

Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Can't I.D. the people, but I think # 22 was Curtis Turner's car. The 3rd car in the background has a name on the door but it's partly blocked & I can't make it out. Any guesses?  If I recall, Turner won 11 races that season in convertibles.

I found these results for Nascar 1957

http://racing-reference.info/raceyear/1957/W

The name on the door appears to end with ...alk,
but couldn't find a name ending in that here

#22 was Fireball Roberts in this pic, but that was in a '56.

Look closer, I think it's Curtis Turner's car, also Curtis drove a peach & white 57 Convertible.

Chuck, The bumper treatment was not for "AERO " but to keep those big things from Hooking on other cars.
Notice the exhaust pipes coming out the tail lights

Looks cool.  I wonder what the rational for this was.  Has anyone done that lately?
