Hello everyone, I live in Quebec near the Vermont border USA, I have a F100 truck 1957 and I would like to install a 292 engine. If you ever know someone with a block or a complete engine rebuild I would be very interested

Excuse me for not giving answer, I check these and it takes a 272 for my F100 truck 1957 this way the installation is easier than a 292. My truck has only 6,000 miles and I'd like to keep it as original as possible. however, I am interested in the same, would it be possible to join me pictures Thank you for your interest, I'm not good with Y-block but it will come one day!

Hi, I am in Maine and have several engines and can put together what you like, I do several under hood restorations. as far as 292 or 272 there is no difference as to which one is easier to install and you can not tell them apart other than some casting numbers. for originality you would want the loadomatic distributor and 3 bolt carb but for better drivability you would want the 57 and later distributor and later 2 or 4 bbl manifold with later carburator to match distributor. You would also need to get a gas pedal assembly from a later truck since the carbs throttles run from different sides.

Hello, sorry for the delay, so you could have a ECG6015D this is the right number to cast a '57 F100 truck ... I want to have it as original as possible and as much as possible ready to be restored. The front engine mount (B7C-6028A) carburetor (B7_-9510_) and other pieces attached to it

The front engine mount (B7C-6028A) carburetor (B7_-9510_) and other pieces attached to itHave a cheaper 292 it is a truckengine, correct front cover and front mount.rebuilt heads with 564v intake valves. it was a low milage rebuild left un covered. 1cyl. had water damage. it is being sleeved. rest of engine is as new .have 2v manifold (3bolt typ carb) corect pan(up dated with bafel) block is a later replacement. cast in late 50s. you would need a distributor and a waterpump.,would ofer choice of cam grind. new rings and gaskets. 1500. cnd. plus frt .ct1940@shaw.ca

You mention you want a 292, however an ECG was originally cast as a 272 with the casting near the distributor identifying it as a dearborn casting. I do have a few of those blocks and one is all painted up factory colors in a buggy I am running. and another on an engine test stand that I just picked up and it run excellent on there. (I try to keep them in something I can run occaisionally to keep the oil flowing) I havent been able to post pics or videos here for some time but you can text me at 207-333-8369 and I could send you vids of them. However being in Canada may incur international charges. You can also PM me on Facebook and I could message you there. Look up Bill Myrand.
