It won't fit a 55 or 56 Bird. It's a completely different clock.

Turbocharged:  Sorry, but I don't know if this will work in a '55 dash or not, but the outside diameter is 2 3/4".  Thanks, Ron

The aussie clocks were wind up i think. They come up on eBay.au fairly often, they were fitted in 55,56,57 here.

Ah yeah.
When my 55' Tbird was converted to 12v by just putting a 12V battery in it, all the electrics burnt out.
So i need to either fix my orig clock or find a replacement.

Thanks for the heads up.

Hi:  I've got a very nice original clock out of my '56 Club sedan on eBay.  I had it restored and a quartz movement installed.  It keeps perfect time and is a very nice piece.  The eBay item number is 201112640270.  I converted my dash to updated instruments and would like to see this go to another '56 Ford owner.  My reserve is well below the $170 I paid for the restoration, S&H, etc.  Thanks, Ron.
