Anybody got an old busted head gear that's a 10 spline , one inch so that I can easily install a new clutch?

Try using some sockets. I've most of the time been able to find one that'll fit the clutch disc and another for the pilot bearing. I'll slide the smaller socket into the larger one (usually a deep one) and that will work as the alignment tool.

Oldmics:

If it is Ford Long style clutch, you can align the OD of the disc with the OD of the pressure plate and the trans will slide right in.  I have also left the pressure plate bolts loose enough for the disc to move, installed the trans, then tightened the pressure plate bolts.

There are universal alignment  tools that are made of metal and work well.  I think Lisle makes one.
