Anybody have contact numbers or information on Rocco and Cheater's Speed Shop in Birmingham, Alabama? The numbers I have listed are no longer in service. Do any of our member live near them that could find out? Thanks, Chuck

Chuck, there is a posting on the HAMB from 2011 and some guys are lamenting that the shop may be closed, but nothing really definitive.

I think you may be right. I did find a private number for one of the owners and it was also disconnected. I wonder what happend to all the old speed shop stock they had? Still hoping someone on here is from the area and can look into it. Chuck

Chuck, sadly Rocco and Cheaters went the way of many other local speed shops several years ago. SECO was another here in Montgomery that has closed their doors, they just could not compete with the big mail order stores. We still have one local parts store/machine shop that tries to compete but with free shipping from Summit and Jegs, it is hard to do. He can get stuff for scrubs at a decent price but when you add in the local sales tax, it is hard to beat the mailorder prices.
