Anyone have a new set of 40 over 312 pistons they want to sell? I need to clean up a 30 over block that won't take a bigge bore. Chuck in NH

I am not sure but I read someplace that a Ford 3.8 oversize piston is very close to a 312 40 oversize.

on those 3.8 ford pistons , they measure in MM's , also you sport for set plus 2 , I believe they are press pin too, but over sizes are real close, use .912 pin , not sure on comp ht.

No I havn't. I wanted to see if anyone had a set on their shelf first. Lots of pistons sitting around out there. I have several sets but none are 40 over 312. The block I'm working on is too thin to go any bigger so I'm looking for a quickfix. It has a little pitting in one hole. Thanks for looking. Chuck in NH

Chuck: Just a thought, what about sleeving the bad cylinder, & reboring it, allowing you to use the pistons you have?.. ( from near Vancouver B.C.)
