Hi Dennis,

When the time gets a little closer I will be in touch to see if you are going and what days.  By then Frank Roelke should know if he is going, I expect he will.

Has anyone started beating the drums for the Y's guys?

Doug, it is a 54 but sometime in it's past it was in an accident and the front end was replaced.I found bolts in the frame on the left side where factory rivets should have been.Fred was there last year, but something happened to his car on the way down and he came without it.

My youngest son graduates from high school that friday,so unless the date gets changed, I won't be able to stay all day and for drag racing.

South Mountain's name has been changed to Quarter Aces, new owners. They're making changes to the track.

Hi Dennis

I thought your truck was a '54 but looking at the Pic and the Mid Fifties catalog it clearly is '55.  I should have looked more closely at the e bay pic before I bought the valance!  It was listed as 53 to 56 and I just didn't see the holes which seem to be  only '54.

Are you going to Carlisle this year?  Have you had any contact with Fred Wilson with the '56 4door hard top? I have his address somewhere and he usually goes.  Maybe you and he could get some kind of Y block representation going again!

Doug, the 55 & 56 are the same.Don't tell anyone, but my valance is fiberglass.Only part on the truck that is. Hey, that's worth a tenth of a second isn't it?

If any one out there has a '56 truck valance in reasonable condition and would like to swap it for a '53 valance I would be glad to make the swap.  The valance is the part under the grill and radiator.  The '54 valance has two holes that are part of the '53 grill and it has some minor differences below the parking lights compared to the '56.  The '56 has no holes for the grill. I have a nice '53 valance with surface rust but no rust through which I will have to use on my '56 if I can't swap it out. Contact me via the personal messages on the site or e mail to Yblocker@hotmail.com  Thanx for looking.

I just looked a Dennis Leeking's Truck's picture and realized the valance I have must be a '53
