I was recently given a ecb 9425-b intake. If it is in good enough shape what four barrel carb can be mounted? This will be goiing on a 1962 ford uni body with a 292 using a mummert 265s cam and rebuilt heads.

ECZ or ECB?Is the flange mounting studs "square" pattern or oblong measurement? If it's the square pattern(ECZ-B) you can use just about any later carb.Holley,Edelbrock etc.If its the non-square pattern you will need to buy an adapter to use later carb.I believe Speedway and others sell the adapter plate.Whatever you are going to use get a minimum 1/2 inch phenolic spacer to cut down heat transfer from intake to carb.If you use an adapter with the truck hood you should still have lots of clearance.Becomes an issue in some car models.

From memory [and I could be wrong Tongue] I think you need the 1/2" four hole spacer anyway as the butterflies are slightly larger on the later carbs.. Go for something around 450 CFM , 465 Holley would be a good choice.

The ECG-B intake is 1955 Ford and Mercury. Here are some past links further identifying the part number.

.

The ECG-B intakes have the small pattern for the carb. As such, the carburetors are limited to the ’56 and earlier Holley Teapot carbureters (Model 4000), Carter WCFB’s as found on Mercs and GM products and early Rochester carbs. With an adapter, modern carbs can be retrofitted. When swapping carbs, be sure to use a distributor that’s compatible with the particular carb that’s being used.
