Try these links to other discussions regarding the use of the HD truck exhaust gaskets being used with the car and light truck exhaust manifolds. Many Y engine builds do not use the HD truck exhaust gaskets simply because many people are unaware that they were even produced. Many other builds forfeit the use of the individual spark plug shields for a variety of reasons with the #1 reason being that the original shields are in poor condition and not reusable.
