Well today I drove my fairlane to a transmission shop which ended up being a bit of a hassle I hate hate traffic yet I live in LA and driving from my house to the tranny shop 30 miles away took over an hour. It started as I hit traffic the engine area became hot and because I haven't put an electric fuel pump in yet I got vapor lock and had to push my beast to the center divider and popped the hood waiting 15 min to try to re start her, luckily she fired back up and I drove the rest of the 15 miles to the trans shop. The guy was real cool he waited after they closed to receive my car and he ended up having a couple Y blocks being worked on another 57 fairlane and a 54 truck so it seems like the place was the right choice for the work I pick up my car with in the week and ill let you all know how that works out

We are not having this problem in Indiana right now. It was 16 degrees this morning, so vapor lock was not an issue. Frozen door locks and fingers were.

i guess i really don't have a problem because i can drive my car all year long no seasons to mess with, although when it rains for about a week once a year i don't drive my car because people don't know how to drive in the rain since it doesn't happen often out here.

yeah you've got a point frank but in my case if you take it to the other extreme in geelong the other day we had 43c so over 100f is too much to think about
