Talkwrench (11/9/2013) Don't suppose you would have the numbers of those KYB's? I put Aussie Falcon wagon shocks on the rear of my '56, same as on my '52 Mainline. XR i reckon, but i think they are the same from XK to XF. .

Anybody install one in a '55/'56 Ford or Merc? All the online stuff for Fords seems to be for pre-war and immediate post-war models, or for '60s and later. I'm looking for something that pretty much bolts on. Any and all suggestions much appreciated! K-Mac in Australia still do one i think, i put a rear one on my '52 mainline ute about 20 years ago. Btw, our utes had a fatter front bar than the sedans. Copied this from their website

Talkwrench (11/9/2013) Don't suppose you would have the numbers of those KYB's? I have KYB KG4503's on the front and KYB KG5517's on the rear. This is on a '55 Ranchwagon. I don't know if the sedan and wagon shock mounts are the same in the rear, fronts are same.

Got my KG5517's from Summit, right now they're $40 each, and I love them, the 55 is lowered 3 in the front and 2 in the rear, rides and corners nice.

Talkwrench (11/11/2013) And no problems with a lowered car with these numbers? Mine wouldn't be lowered any more than 2" ..
Do summits now send to Australia?? mm? My Ranch is lowered 2" inches in rear with blocks and 3" in front with Aerostar springs and Granada spindles (altho the Granada spindles wouldn't effect the shock length anyway now that I think about it )
