While Battlefield Raceway doesn’t have an up and running website, they do post on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/BattlefieldRaceway Information is sketchy but the race itself is Saturday Oct 19, 2013. Gates are open at 8AM. Looks like the Church brothers are both bringing their Y powered race cars and I also plan to be there as well. . If you have some specific questions, give Chad a call at 601-486-3802. . Looks like there will be some Y’s showing up there for racing action. . Anyone else that has more information on this race, please feel free to post.

Congrat's to Ted Eaton, top eliminator winner at Battlefield Raceway last night. Robin and David Church, Ted along with myself had a mini Y Block shoot out in the first round. Ted beat David's t bird and I lost to Robin with a red light, but we all had a great time. Ted has some pic's and Debbie has some video that maybe we can get posted up later.

Here’s a start for some pictures. As Glen mentioned, four Y powered cars showed up for this race which makes it quite a showing. With the Y’s running each other in round one, it was a mini Y race. Robin and I didn’t run each other in round two and it was hoped at that point that we would see each other in the final round. Didn’t quite work out that way though. With a bit of luck and the roadster running reasonably consistent, I did manage to win the Bracket race.

I will venture to say that this is the first time that four y powered race cars have been together at the same track in the south since the 50's or early 60's. Not only did Ted win the sportsman bracket race, but Robin won an award in the show. For those who have not seen his car in person, it is with out a doubt a show car. I want everyone to start making plans for next year and maybe we can grow this into a annual y block gathering. I will guarantee that you will not be treated better and made to fill more at home at any other track in the country.
