Guys,

I plan on entering John Gambill's 57 Ford (non-yblock) bracket but I need to know more about the Nostalgia Bracket also. I can't find any information on it on their website. Is this a free for all brackets with 78 and older fords of any ET. Otherwise, I have only Bracket III to race in. I found out why my car quit pulling in 4th gear as it did at Byron so it'll be more interesting to race the big Lincoln Engines now, if they'll race me (lol). Anyway, can anyone explain the Nostalgia Bracket for me. Thanks, Jim

Jim:

I also cannot find any Nostalgia rules. I emailed them and got no pertinent info there either. All I can find is '78 and older. In the past there were upper and lower ET limits, no electronics allowed, tire size limits, etc. But that all seems to be gone now. Your car can fit in the Nostalgia bracket with no problem, but if it goes quicker than 13.99 you'll have to wear an approved helmet. The NHRA safety rules that apply to your ET range will be enforced.

John,

At Osceola last Friday evening my 1/4 mile time was 14.5001 @97mph. But, I spun a long ways on their track and my 60' times was .337 seconds longer than it was at Bunker Hill during Battle on the Hill. I'm hoping they don't wet the entire entrance of the track at National Trail like they did Oceola last Friday. National Trail gave me room to get around the water. With my street tires I'm looking for 14.10 - 14.25 seconds thru the quarter. Without slicks I'm not looking to wear a helmet but I'll bring one just in case.

To be blowing up the Nostalgia Bracket they seem awfully vague about it. With it being bracket and only one class that pays $1200 to win, I'd think they would have more information about it. Jim
