Nascar took a nose dive when restrictor plates came into play in my opinion. I am like Mark Martin - "I hate those things! - take 'em off and let us race" he said.

I guess ol' awesome Bill from Dawsonville did the damage (what was it?1986) when he set those records. Scary fast.

I have never raced on an oval, paved track but I gotta question why a race car driver would ever say something like this, "We are going too fast." I think I hear that most from the younger drivers though.

Safety is ALWAYS going to be an issue no matter what NASCAR does to change rules.

Let the rants begin lol

First, you can bet there will be rule changes for the Ford teams by the next restrictor plate race. NASCAR call it leveling the field. I call it holding back the Fords.

Second, I understand the problam with safety, mostly for the public, if speeds go higher. So if you want to effectively limit speed why not go back to requiring them to run full bodied production cars. Allowing for safety of the drivers of course. No more cookie cutter cars with cookie cutter engines. Make the big 3 1/2 (Toyota) build to race. Chuck

Y's guys rule!
Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.
