Due to work, it didn't even register that yesterday was the 10th birthday of the website.  As you all know, there are problems with the forums reliability but I have discovered that the software manufacturer does offer a service where they will do the upgrade.  I am looking into having that done.

This site was never intended to go this long, never really gave it a thought. But over the years, I have met so many great people because of it.  Special thanks to Bob Martin who really helped in the beginning with pictures, profiles, etc.  And of course, our "sages" that hit the forums several times a day for assisting our less technical folks (myself included).

Very special thanks to my wizard near Waco, Ted Eaton.  Besides being an awesome resource to everyone on the site, Ted has been so helpful to me in being a co-admin of the forums as well as building my 429hp Y.  Because of my present job (retiring again in August), there are times when I may not get to the forums for two or three days at a time, but Ted lets me know of any issues. Given the instability of the forum, that is most valuable.  Another round of thanks go to a couple of guys here locally, Wayne Gillin, besides being a very close friend, is the one that sparked my interest in keeping a "Y" in my 56 instead of dropping a 351 into it.  Without him, this site would never have even been a thought. I drove his '55 one evening and was hooked. And Michael Loftis, who has been SO helpful in pulling and putting engines in.  This guy is VERY good and super fast.  Another Y-Block nut!

One of the reasons that I am retiring on August 23 instead of in October when I actually hit 62 is that I want to come to Columbus this year, maybe even bring my '56.  The engine is back in the car and just need to hang things like headers, alternator, etc before it is ready for the street once again.

We have had a great run over the last ten years, and I will continue this thing as long as I am capable of doing it.  Thanks to all of you, it works!

Congrats Jim on a great 10 years, and thanks for making it happen. This web site is a daily ritual for me and adds great value and entertainment to my day. Thanks also go to the moderators who help keep things straight and just like Y-Block Magazine, thanks to the contributors who ask the right questions and provide the best answers.

"Thanks" does not seem to be adequate enough!!

The tone set in this forum is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise hostile internet world of car guys...

Thanks also to all already mentioned for great support, ideas, suggestions and, yes, even friendship, though most will never meet face to face.

Here's to 10 more years!

Thanks Jim, Even with some small problems it is still the best site. Most other site don't offer the kind of help that the people offer here. You have given us Y-blockers a great place to talk and find we are not alone, that is a great 10 year present to us.

I find that hard to believe, I can't figure out how you had time to work.

Looks like the site will last longer than the engine was in production. Best site out there. Great people & any information is passed on without any drama.
