I did something like that in Canada. I fell through the ice once, too but it was only knee deep. It wasn't that bad. The water is warmer than the ambient temp so it wasn't as shocking as you might think. You just need to get dry asap. I made sure mom didn't see me when I got home so she wouldn't freak out. Jumping into a spring in Florida in the middle of Summer, that is shocking.
